Annual Price Increase & Updated T&C’s
Telecom Networks & Suppliers have been increasing prices based on the Retail Price Index (RPI). However, Ofcom, the telecommunications regulator, has determined that this method of price increase doesn’t provide sufficient clarity and certainty for customers about the prices they will pay under their contract.
What’s Changing?
Following new regulation from Ofcom, we are changing the way we do annual price rises to provide more clarity and certainty for our Small business customers. A microenterprise/small business customer is defined as a business having 1 to 1 to 10 employees (excluding volunteers).
Annual Price Rise
From 9th January 2025, we’ll change how we communicate and implement price increases for our new and re-contracting micro-business customers (1 to 10 employee)
Instead of percentage-based price changes linked to inflation (RPI), contracts will specify an annual airtime price increase + VAT a month giving customers greater certainty about how their bills may change over the course of their contract. This will be known as Annual Price Increase (API).
- Mobile £2.75
- Cloud £2.75
- Broadband – SOGEA, FTTP, SOADSL – £3.75
- Broadband – FTTC, ADSL, EOFTTC, GEA , Analogue & ISDN Lines – £7.50
- Ethernet (lease lines) – £27
- Vision Studio – £4
- I.T Support – £12.50 up to 1 hour and £7.50 for each additional 30 minute support time
- NGN Number Hosting – increased to £15 per month
All contracts signed before 9th January 2025 will remain on the previously agreed RPI price increase terms
All contracts signed after 9th January 2025 will go onto the new API annual price increase terms
For businesses with 11 or more employees entering new or renewing contracts from 9th January 2025 onwards, their rental charges will be subject to either API Annual Price increase or existing RPI Increase if higher.
